How do I find out when my Trip was manufactured?

This information was provided by "Mairead" via the forum on my website olympus-trip.co.uk. There is an explanation of what to do and how the code is deciphered on - flickr.com but I thought some pictures would help to explain how to do it. Don't be worried about removing the pressure plate. Just slide it inwards carefully with your nail as shown until it comes free from one side, then rotate it to reveal the printed code. It is replaced just as easily in the same way.

The code can be seen here. H92 = February 1979. I had thought we had bought the camera in 1978 but this proves that my memory is fading!

HI!! I've just found the trip 35 into one trunk of my home, it's wonderful and I'd like to know the best way to clean it, and take it back to the life! Can you help me?

This is a useful information as I just won the bid on ebay for an Oly Trip. The seller is from Blackpool England and it will be a while before it gets here.

I'm so glad I found this blog!! I have this Olimpus Trip 35 in my house for a long time and I never actually used it until now... I developed a 'strange' interessed in photography over the years and now I'm really exploring it, with digital cameras, lomography, etc... And now I decided It was the right time for this Olimpus! I don't know how to shot analogic cameras but with this blog I will discover. Thank you!!
